As a result, individuals develop a deeper understanding of environmental issues and have the skills to make informed and responsible decisions.<\/p>\n<p>The components of environmental education are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Awareness and sensitivity to the environment and environmental challenges<\/li>\n<li>    Knowledge and understanding of the environment and environmental challenges<\/li>\n<li>    Attitudes of concern for the environment and motivation to improve or maintain environmental quality<\/li>\n<li>    Skills to identify and help resolve environmental challenges<\/li>\n<li>    Participation in activities that lead to the resolution of environmental challenges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Environmental education does not advocate a particular viewpoint or course of action. Rather, environmental education teaches individuals how to weigh various sides of an issue through critical thinking and it enhances their own problem-solving and decision-making skills.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"ui-row row\">\n <div   class=\"ui-column span4\"><div class=\"ui--box-widget\"><div  class=\"ui--content-box ui--box ui--content-item ui--animation ui-row\"><div class=\"ui--content-box-header\"><a class=\"ui--content-box-link\" href=\"http:\/\/cleanwateratlanta.h2o4atl.com\/index.php\/care-and-conserve\/\"><div class=\"ui--content-box-title ui--gradient ui--gradient-grey on--hover clearfix text-center\"><h5 class=\"ui--content-box-title-text\">Care and Conserve Program<\/h5><\/div><\/a><\/div><div class=\"ui--content-box-content\"><div class=\"ui--content-box-content-text\"><p>The City of Atlanta Bureau of Water recognizes that there are times when families and individuals face financial hardships and need help paying for essential services like water.
