The Hemphill Water Treatment Plant was the site of scary creatures, colorful characters, and a lot of Halloween fun at the Department of Watershed Management’s 2nd Annual Trick-or-Treatment Tour.
Fix-A-Leak Week 2017
The Department of Watershed Management recently participated in several events to inform, educate, and demonstrate how to detect and fix water leaks as part of the Environmental Protection Agency’s ninth annual Fix-A-Leak Week March 20th through the 27th.
The Watershed Report - Career Day at Tuskegee Airmen Global Academy
Published on Feb 10, 2017 – The Department of Watershed Management recently hosted an Environmental Career Day Event at Tuskegee Airmen Global Academy in Southwest Atlanta. Twelve DWM offices, including engineering, billing, and the Hemphill and Chattahoochee water treatment plants, set up interactive exhibits to teach Pre-k through 5th grade students about careers in the water/sewer industry.

The Department of Watershed Management hosted a bunch of scary characters, super heroes, and much more at the first annual Trick or Treatment Tour at the Hemphill Water Treatment Plant on Halloween. Ghosts, goblins, princesses, and ninja turtles were among the more than 100 guests at the event, which included an exclusive tour of the Hemphill water treatment plant, a lawn screening of the movie, Jurassic World, and of course plenty of treats!
